About

Known for its intimate acoustics and decadence, Cadogan Hall is among the best places to watch live music in London. The Hall is home to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and presents a wide range of events from jazz to musical theatre.

Cadogan Hall is buried in the Chelsea district, close to Sloane Square. Though known as a historic classical music venue, visitors can also enjoy the likes of jazz, folk and contemporary music alongside talks and conferences, and children's shows. Thanks to its supreme acoustic design, it has also been used as a recording venue by art rock artists and classical performers.

The building is not only a treat for the ears, as its architectural style and stained glass windows make it visually stunning. The Hall dates back to 1907, starting out as a New Christian Science Church. Its roots can still be traced today, with the original organ from 1911 and timber panelling from the platform in storage awaiting reinstallation. With a proscenium, a gallery and a stage from its church days, the Grade II listed building blends historic character with modern updates. It opened in 2004 as a concert hall, and has continued to serve as part of the community ever since.

Access Information

The Hall has an Access Scheme for people with physical, sensory or cognitive disabilities. It also offers step free access to the box office and foyer areas, with a lift access to the foyer bar and stalls. Inside, visitors can also find a unisex accessible toilet.

Accessibility features also include:

  • Touch tours
  • Infrared system
  • Loop system
  • Four wheelchair spaces in the Stalls
  • Wide access lift
  • Lowered counter box office
